✏️ TEACH: What We Do Next Matters
Turn an online misstep into a learning opportunity with your students.
We all know what it's like to share something online that turns out to be false, misleading, or harmful. Despite our best intentions, it’s easy to fall for mis-, dis-, or mal-information related to events or topics that trigger strong emotional reactions. Even the best of us sometimes spread misinformation when emotions like outrage or fear flood our brains, and we switch from logical to “flight/fight” thinking. What we do next matters. With that in mind, we’ve added a new mini-lesson to the Evidence Locker that utilizes one of Jarrett Lerner’s epic “Finish The Comic” activities + an infographic we created with a step-by-step guide for turning an online misstep into a learning opportunity! Directions for locating this resource in the Evidence Locker can be found below.
